Geotic was created in 2002 by two experienced geologists who wanted to offer their colleagues computerized tools so that they could respond to the ever increasing pressure from the professional and financial sectors and a growing number of industry regulatory agencies. To accomplish this, Geotic recruited a range of experts in information technology, database management and design, programming, exploration and mining geology, and geostatistics.
Recognized by their peers, Géotic won the IAMGOLD prize in 2012 awarded by the AEMQ. The software continued to improve since then.
